On December 8, a group of 20 history majors from West Chester University toured Martin's Tavern with their instructor, Dr. Robert Kadosky. Linda Kaat is relating the history of the tavern as it was during the Revolutionary War.

The Friends of Martin's Tavern Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on December 10th was a wonderful event! This annual event has grown in volume and fun, even with a chill in the air. The children made ornaments for the tree and participated in tractor rides with Santa (we gave the reindeer a break for the day). The complimentary cookies, pretzels, hot chocolate and coffee were enjoyed by all our neighbors and friends. This year, we added a Christmas Bazaar, and the great fund raiser will definitely become a part of our event. Thank you to everyone who donated the "local goods", volunteered in the chilly December air and of course, those whose great purchases help fund our cause!! Thank you
